a small place for things that remain

afterwards

grief has a strange way of making ghosts out of ordinary things.
01 — welcome

Some things disappear quietly. A voice from another room. A chair that stays empty. A name that becomes difficult to say aloud. This is a little corner of the internet for everything that refuses to disappear completely.

Welcome to my little archive of memories, thoughts, photographs and things I don't quite know where else to put.

Take your time here. There isn't really anywhere else you need to be.

02 — about this place

This website belongs to someone who spends too much time remembering things that probably shouldn't still matter.

"I keep the lights on for things that aren't coming back."

Here you'll find old thoughts, unfinished writing, photographs, little collections, diary entries, things I've loved and things I've lost.

Nothing here is particularly frightening. It just feels a little strange after midnight.

for the things we remember

some memories fade.
some become clearer with time.

03 — scraps from the drawer
NOTE — 01

I found an old photograph today. I couldn't remember when it was taken, but I remembered exactly how I felt.

NOTE — 02

Sometimes I still turn around when I hear a familiar sound.

NOTE — 03

The strangest part of losing something is discovering all the places it used to be.

04 — little things

Currently thinking about:

  • rain against windows
  • old photographs
  • half-finished letters
  • empty bedrooms
  • things people leave behind
  • the smell of old books
  • why memories arrive at inconvenient times
There are rooms inside us that we never stop returning to.
